Performance issue in Element Scan -V8i MDL

Hai,

I have developed one MDL tool (to display  the elements in the dgn according to the user criteria ie., if they want element having Level="Test", Weight="0", Style="1",Color ="2" only those element need to display in the dgn remaining elements should be invisible) in Microstation V8i but performance of the tool is slow .  The tool using C syntax. I heard from one source that if we develop using C++ the performance of the tool will increase, is it true?
