We need confirmation from someone at Bentley Systems that you can use VBA for a RIS linkage.  VBA, after all, was introduced many years after RIS faded away.

You would be able to do what you want with MDL.  MDL evolved while RIS was still in use.  The MDL header files include values for RIS linkages.

Unfortunately there is not a 1:1 mapping between the MDL linkage IDs and those provided by the VBA enum.  Otherwise, it would be simple to tell what value to use for RIS.
